Patterns
There are 3 basic patterns involving the ragdoll breed, a feature that we always have found to be most intriguing. The first called colorpoint is somehow akin to the Siamese kind of markings. The points or extremities will be noticeably darker than the rest of the body.
Seal Colorpoint Girl
Seal Colorpoint Mitted Boy
The second pattern Mitted is somewhat similar to the first but also involves the cat having mittens on the front paws and boots on the back legs. This last detail is most important as Ragdolls shouldn't be confused with the Birman breed which will sport mittens on all four legs. The chin will be white and nicely compliment the classy white mitten and boots.

The third and last pattern is what is called a Bicolour. The main feature of this pattern involves a white inverted V, that usually starts on the forehead to descend between the eyes on an ever increasing angle, to ultimately engulf the front and underbelly of the cat in a very classy white colour. The back legs are also white. The rest of the body will be one of four colourpoint colours so typical of the Ragdoll Breed. These colours are the ever popular Seal, the slate grey called Blue. The chestnut called chocolate and the impressive lilac or frost. The Ragdolls will take 3 to 4 years to fully mature, and their weight will reach in excess of 20 pounds. The females will be somewhat smaller and lighter but just as personable.
